This party was inspired by my 5yr old and his love everything dinosaurs! We did a dino first birthday party for him as well but it had a completely different feel with bright colors and silhouettes. I knew that this party needed to be much more rustic. We spotted the large dino skeleton at Joann Fabrics and it became the starting point to our party. Earth tones and greenery everywhere you looked set the stage for a DINO DIG!

My wood pallet was the perfect backdrop for the party table. I created it for the camping party I did a few years ago. I created this gorgeous leaf garland using images cut on my silhouette. I was inspired by a similar banner on pinterest and knew it would give the table the color and texture it needed. Paired with the printable dino happy birthday banner they made a great impact in the space.

For the party cake I wanted something equally as rustic as the decor. Nothing too perfect. This cake was super easy to make at home. The top is crushed Chips Ahoy cookies, a chocolate ganache drizzle, and candy rocks bought on amazon. Stacking it on wood slices gave it height and added more texture and nature to the space.

For party food I tried to keep everything in greens and browns. We had green fruits and veggies (apples, cucumber, celery, and carrots), pudding dirt cups with candy rocks, dinosaur skeleton sugar cookies, and of course dino nuggets!

I saw the cookie cutter for these dinosaur skeleton sugar cookies online and knew I had to have them. I was pleasantly surprised how easy they were. I will share step by step details on them in another post. The kids loved them and they were so yummy!

Our activities for the party were a Dino Dig, scavenger hunt, and pinata! Each child received dino dig kit, binoculars, hat, and bag to take home their goodies.

These dig kits were so easy to create. The containers were purchased at my local dollar store. A sand mixture inside buried gems, rocks, and dino skeletons. I included a magnifying glass, several dig tools, and brush for their archaeological findings.

A printable dinosaur favor tag and strip of burlap added a fun touch to each box.

Inside each box were several layers of dinos and stones to dig for.

Kraft paper bags were easy to dress up with a printable centerpiece circle and favor tag. Each guest was able to collect all of their party goodies inside to take home.

As party guests arrived we helped them look the part of a paleontologist with hats and binoculars. These were such a big hit!

The main party table was so fun to create. It had so many layers of color, texture, and dinosaur elements including wood, moss, greenery and more.

A printable 2 sided centerpiece was at the very center of the table.

The table runner was created using burlap and a roll of moss found at the craft store. I loved the texture the moss brought to the table.

These awesome wood dinosaur skeleton puzzles were perfect to bring in the dinosaur bones in another way. We had 4 different dinosaurs on the table.

Each place setting included these gorgeous wood grain plates. They were one of my favorite finds for this party. I layered green napkins with wood silverware. The little dino foot was added using a rubber stamp I had in my craft collection.

Glass milk bottle are one of my favorite containers to use on a party table. They are so versatile. I wrapped them with a printable dinosaur water bottle label to match the printables throughout the party.

The greenery was all found at my local dollar store. I stuck them into a foam block with brown crinkle paper around it to mimic dirt. I used multiple containers of greenery throughout the space to add color and height anywhere I could.

You have seen several elements already that the kids took home. A hat, binoculars, and dino dig box. I also created these favor bags using a printable treat bag topper from the printable dinosaur package. Chocolate rocks were a fun addition to the bags to continue our outdoor dig theme.

After lunch we headed out for a scavenger hunt to find a dinosaur. The kids dressed up and were ready for the hunt!

I created cards that I hid around our home and neighborhood to lead them to the final prize.

They succeeded and found the dinosaur pinata.

After the hunt we went back inside to DIG! The kids LOVED this so much. I gave each kid a tray to attempt to contain some of the mess. They had so much fun finding all the treasures. I originally attempted a moon sand recipe for the boxes but out Home Depot did not have the right kind of sand. At the last minute it basically ended up being a wet sand mixture that was still fun to dig through. Pinterest has some great ideas for dig boxes containing plaster but for 5 year olds I did not want it to be hard to do. They were able to use bury their treasures again and dig over and over.

Last, but actually first was the front door that greeted guests as they came in. A neighbor had this great giant dinosaur skeleton from Halloween we were able to borrow. I cut dinosaur footprints out of cardstock leading up to the party.

A printable welcome sign was mounted on layered cardstock and hung using twine. So easy and so cute!

This cute 5 year old of mine loved his dinosaur dig party! He said it was the best party ever! haha! It is always fun to incorporate something my kids LOVE into a theme.

A few weekends ago I had the pleasure of hosting a baby shower for a friend’s baby girl. She chose an elephant theme in her nursery so I went with the same theme. I love being able to use the nursery theme when designing a baby shower. I use decorations from the shower as a gift for the mom to be.

I started this set with the base of my original boy Elephant baby shower I designed a few years ago. I swapped the colors for a soft baby pink and gray and updated some of the designs. Be watching for an updated boy version soon. I had fun adding some layered die cut card stock elements to my printables for this party. 5M Creations originally began with all die cut layered party décor. It was fun to use them again. I love the mix of patterns you get with printables and the texture the layered card stock brings.

As one of the gifts for the mom to be I created this diaper cake. If you have never made one, it is just diapers rolled up to make each tier. I prefer Pampers Swaddlers(since they are white) in a size 1. I bought these sweet pink and gray fabrics at my local craft store. I cut them to the size I needed and secured them in the back with straight pins. You can use swaddle or receiving blankets as well if you find some that match your colors.

I created a mini Baby banner in this printable elephant baby shower package to use on the middle tier. I added die cut elephants to the end and secured them to lollipop sticks. I also used one our the printable centerpiece circles for the bottom tier.

For the top tiers I found this adorable pink elephant plush at Target! I was so thrilled. Isn’t it the cutest. I also found a set of baby headbands in white and this soft pink bow. It was the perfect accent for the top tier. This is another way to tie in a gift for mom in your decorations.

I kept the sweets simple with classic white cupcakes. I added sweet cupcake toppers punched with a scallop punch for a girly touch. I love this cake stand from Home Goods. I can swap out the ribbon to match any theme I need.

My printable elephant centerpiece circles were dressed up with an extra layer of scalloped circles behind them. Add them to a cute pink bucket and they are a perfect focal point for any table.

One of my favorite drink containers to use are these glass milk bottles. I have mentioned in previous posts that I purchase starbucks coffee in these bottles and remove the labels. So much less expensive than buying fancy glassware. Add a cute printable water bottle wrap and a paper straw to add to any party theme.

I love the little details in parties. These printable napkin wraps are a perfect way to add an extra little touch of cuteness. Plain silverware and napkins become part of the décor.

Tissue poms are such a fun decoration for a baby shower. They are so soft and whimsical. My table was very deep and I needed a way to fill the space without making it look to busy. Tissue poms were perfect. They pulled in the colors of the party perfectly while serving a purpose. I used them on the wall as well around the banners. Tissue poms are such an inexpensive way to add big impact to a party space. You can find a tutorial here.

For party favors I used pink and white circus cookies in these tiny clear boxes. They were an adorable sweet treat to send with guests as they left. However most of them were eaten before they even got out the door. You are never to old for animal crackers.

I tied a printable favor tag punched with a scallop punch to each box with a simple white ribbon.

My printable elephant baby shower décor package includes an It’s A Girl banner. For this party I created a banner using the baby’s name so that it could be used in t he nursery as well. Personalization is always an option with any of my party packages.

This elephant pennant banner dressed up a mirror in my party space that was over the food table. It is included in the package.

As guests entered the party I had them put addresses on envelopes to make it easier for mom to send out thank you cards. I printed a set of matching printable elephant thank you cards to send with the mom as well. This sweet L was created by purchasing a wooden letter from the craft store. I traced it onto scrapbook paper and glued the paper to the letter. I added one of the die cut elephants. Decoration that doubles as a gift.

Another sweet gift for mom were these blessing cards. Guests wrote messages to the baby girl. Add them to an album for a sweet keepsake to look back on years later.

Last in my photo story, but really first… as guests entered they were greeted by this welcome sign. It would be adorable on a nursery door as well.

This customer gingerbread house party is so much fun! Having a December birthday lends itself to a fun holiday theme. What better choice than gingerbread! Such a classic activity for this time of year. This party theme is perfect for birthday parties or a get together with friends around the holidays. It is also great for a cookie decorating party or cookie exchange! I offer everything you see with Merry Christmas wording as well.

These cute little gingerbread men cookies are the perfect toppers to a simple cupcake. Add a polka dot baking cup for a great pop of color. I love the use of lime green to brighten up the classic Christmas colors.

A classic white cake is a perfect base to add a fun toppers or custom decor of your own.

Cupcake toppers don’t have to be used on cupcakes. These gingerbread toppers are tied to glass milk bottles to dress up guests drinks. Paper ribbon wrapped around just adds to the look.

Our printable gingerbread cookie centerpiece circles can be used in so many ways. Add to any container of your choice to dress up a table. How cute are these glittery balls filling the container?!?!

These beautiful ceramic gingerbread houses were a gorgeous addition to the table.

Glittery wrapping paper covering poster board made a gorgeous backdrop for the table. The addition of the pom garland was so cute!

Utilize things already in your home in your decor. If you have a tree already up in your home make it coordinate in your party colors. Use it to put the birthday gifts under, or maybe favors for your guests.

Cute photo props are always a fun activity to get photos of each guests with the birthday girl as guests arrive.

Printable peppermint candy and gingerbread cookies make a sweet garland for any table or mantle. This fabric swag garland layered with it was a great addition.

A hot chocolate bar is always delicious on a cold wintery day. I love stations where my guests can customize to their liking.

Marshmallow candy cane stir ins for the hot chocolate are yummy but also just as cute.

Another set of gingerbread house centerpiece circles was used to dress up the hot cocoa bar. Use containers of any shape to fit the space you need to decorate.

Each girl at the party got a gingerbread house to decorate. Thank you Costco Kits these cuties were pre built and came with lots of cute decorations! I love anyway to make my planning simpler.

Add some of your own candy in cute cups to dress up the each guests spot.

The girls had so much fun decorating their houses! Each one was so unique.

In addition to their gingerbread houses each guest took home a sweet treat for a favor.

Each box contained tubes with hot chocolate, mini marshmallows, peppermint bits, and chocolate candies.

Classic red popcorn boxes were paired with our printable gingerbread house favor tags for the perfect party favor. The adorable elf show candy wands are created by the awesome Lisa Frank.

I feel like I have been saying this a lot lately, but this Police Party Package has become one of the most popular sets in my shop. A friend shared these photos of her son’s party using our printable police birthday party decorations. There are so many fun details. The front door welcomed guests with a cute ride on police bike and the porch(just outside the photo) was wrapped with caution tape.

This printable police party package was created to coordinate with the police tableware from Oriental Trading Company. They have tons of cute accessories to add to your party.

Our printable Police Happy Birthday Banner was hung above the food table in the backyard. It was mounted on white card stock to add an extra border.

The backyard was transformed into a police training area. There was a nerf shooting range, pin the badge on the officer, and a Police Car Pinata.

This amazing police car pinata was made by mom!!! Isn’t it awesome! And that swat costume on the birthday boy is super cute.

Our printable police centerpiece circles were at each guest table.

The trampoline was the jail! So fun!

Inside was a dessert table with cupcakes featuring printable police cupcake toppers, dipped pretzel rods in the party colors, money(chocolate gold coins) and donuts of course.

Water bottles for the parched officers were wrapped with our printable police water bottle labels.

This photo op was so cute! The kids had a blast standing in front of it.

No booking is complete without fingerprints.

Last, everyone went home with a favor. The contained everything a police officer needs. A gun(squirt gun of course), notepad, handcuffs, and more.

For my littlest guy we created a dinosaur nursery. It is so fun with bright pops of green, orange, and navy. I knew when I did his nursery that I wanted his first birthday party to match. I created this party line with dinosaur silhouettes inspired by some of the art I had in his room.

His smash cake featured this adorable fondant dino. The cake stand is from my daughter’s bake shop party got spray painted navy to fit a boy theme.

These letters sit on top of his bookshelf in his room. I love that they are such a fun bold piece of decor on the table.

I created printable cupcake toppers with a mix of dinosaur silhouettes, happy birthday, and roar in the party colors. I love the look of these cute polka dot cupcake cups. They add so much color to the treats.

Each month I took a photo of my little guy with his stuffed dinosaur in his lime green cloth diaper. A blue frame made it the perfect addition to our dessert table. This party was all about celebrating his first year!

For his high chair I created a mini banner with the printable dinosaur centerpiece circles and a personalized circle with his name from our party decor package. I added a dinosaur bib from Skip Hop and a sweet birthday hat I found at my local party store.

We rented a large community center to host the event. We expected around 75 friends and family. Even though it was a big space I wanted to make sure it was bright and colorful. The polka dot bouquets of balloons at each table were the perfect addition.

Each table had a centerpiece, different photos of our little guy from throughout the year, a painted dinosaur figure, and an activity book I created for the kids. They were able to decorate it with stickers and crayons. Inside was a word search, maze, and more.

Again for the decor I utilized several items from his room. The large M, stuffed dinos, and orange frame filled in the favor table nicely.

One the way out each guest took a favor. Inside was colored sixlets and mini dinosaur figures, topped with our printable treat bag toppers.

My daughter waited not so patiently to turn 8 so she could have a slumber party for her birthday. Since a slumber party is an event all on its own we decided to make that our theme. No need for anything else. A sleepover lends itself to so many fun activities.

She wanted silver accents throughout. We decided the easiest way to do that was to layer all the slumber party printable decorations with silver glitter paper. You will notice the touch of sparkle throughout the decor.

We created a fun space to eat in our dining room. I lucked out that my paint scheme coordinated nicely with our party colors of aqua, hot pink, and navy. We used the chevron table runner from our Bake Shop Party. I found simple pink polka dot plates, and added a pop of color with polka dot tissue poms on the table and hanging.

I love this printable slumber party centerpiece trio. It features classic slumber party images. You can see the glimmer of sparkle added with the silver paper. Any basic box or container can be transformed to make a centerpiece. Just add green floral foam to the bottom and crinkle paper to cover it. Insert your sticks. Dress it up with some ribbon if you like.

We didn’t need cupcake toppers for this party as we were doing an ice cream bar. They were to cute not to use though. We dressed up mason jars using the slumber party cupcake topper circles, daisy cut out lids, and hot pink paper straws.

A simple piece of ribbon adds a touch of color to a plain napkin.

Instead of the traditional Happy Birthday banner we did Sweet Dreams to follow our slumber party theme. This is now hanging in my daughter’s bedroom. So fun to be able to use it as decor later as well.

Who says tissue poms have to be solid colors. I love the polka dots. These are also hanging in my daughters room.

We started the evening with pizza making. We used pie dishes from the dollar store to hold each girl’s pizza. This kept all the toppings in place and not all over my kitchen. They all got to personalize their pizzas with their favorite toppings.

For dessert the birthday girl wanted an ice cream bar. The girls LOVED this. Set out a variety of toppings and styles of cones. Let them go crazy!

Every slumber party needs popcorn and a movie. These cute popcorn boxes made cute perfect individual portions.

For the late night fun we had glow sticks ready.

We created a fun table with the party favors. All fitting the slumber party theme of course.

I created these paper fans from the same silver glitter paper we used everywhere else. They were the perfect addition to our favor table. The background was a board covered in cute wrapping paper.

I found these cute toiletry bags in the Target dollar spot. We filled them with nail polish, nail files, nail stickers, and lip gloss.

We bought slippers from the dollar tree (we added a cute bow).

Each girl brought a doll to the party. For party favors my daughter helped me make these fleece no sew sleeping bags for the dolls. You can find a tutorial here.

The girls had a blast with a photo prop wall. We hung a piece of fabric and have them all sorts of dress up objects. They were so goofy!

Our last activity of the evening was coloring pillow cases. I traced each girl’s name with black onto plain white pillow cases I purchased on amazon. We provided multiple colors of fabric markers. I placed a piece of cardboard between the layers of fabric so it would not leak through. They colored during our movie time.

For breakfast we had a waffle bar. Assembly style bars were kind of the theme for the food. haha! It made for a lot of elements to prep but the girls loved picking and choosing what they wanted.

We dressed up cute glass milk bottles with ribbon and polka dot straws for the morning beverages.

Pjs, behead hair, and piles of waffles were the perfect way to end the party.

This week I am sharing another customer party. This party package was a custom request by the mom and I love how it turned out. A mix of gray chevron, red and navy, with cute vintage airplanes.

This is a perfect example of how banners can be used in so many ways. I love the use of it to dress up the food table.

How sweet is this airplane cake? The smash cake is always the best part of the first birthday.

This printable airplane party package includes a high chair banner. They are the perfect addition for those great cake photos.

A sweet red toy plane and balloons make a cute centerpiece. Add some coloring pages for the party guests to keep them occupied during the slower times of the party.
